Venture Scouts

Venture Scouts are the oldest scouts in the group. They develop their own programme under the guidance of an adult leader. The main challenge for venture scouts is the explorer belt.

Venture Scouts are a progression of Scouts where the venture Scouts themselves take greater responsibility for organising their own programme and they usually work towards an annual expedition or a camp. The most popular place for Venture Scouts expedition is to Kanderstag in Switzerland.

Venture Units in the past have been a credit to the group, winning prestigious awards such as the internationally recognised Explorer belts.

Alternatively Scouts who have reached the age of 18 can join either the Beaver Team or Cub Team and become a registered Leader. Younger Scouts in Transition Year can earn their community service asby assisting as Cub Scout Instructors from the age of 15.
